Weight Gain - Mass gain

If you are looking to gain weight (and muscle mass), surely you've considered body-building.So you are looking to gain weight? Hopefully some of these articles/texts will help you achieve what you’re looking for.So you wanna get bulky? What’s the first thing you should do ? EAT! EAT! EAT!You’ve probably heard that many times before and it is true. But you should not eat whatever, whenever and how much you want. I will give you more details in a bit.The other thing you should consider is…BODY-BUILDING! Oh yes. Good-old body-building. You’ve probably thought about body-building many times, but perhaps have not tried it yet? Or maybe you tried but failed to get any results ? Eitehr way, here I will point out a few things to keep in mind if you wish to dedicate yourself to body-bulding, and I hope that will help you.First of all, why and when do muscles grow? Have you ever thought about that? Well, you should have. The truth is your muscles grow OUTSIDE the gym, whike you’re SLEEPING and RESTING, NOT while you are working out. Basically when you work out,you break down muscle fibres in your muscles and as a natural result they re-produce, but they reproduce bigger and stronger so they are ready for the next time you stress them by working out. Hoepfully by now you’ve realized you have to shock your muscles in order to make them grow. So how do I workout then, you wonder? Well, when you workout, you should workout until positive muscle failure, that is untill you CANNOT do one more repetition (of whatever exercise you are doing), even if someone offered you $1,000,000 dollars to do that one more rep. That is how you make your muscles grow. Cool eh ?Now about excercises. Well, as you surely know, there are many excercies you can do in a gym, but you should focus on compund excercises (excercises that workout more muscle groups, not just one). I will give you a list of some excercises I think are good, and if you don’t know how they’re done, check it out on the web, you can find detailed instructions + pictures. So the excercises are: squats, bench-press, deadlifts, barbell-curls, close-grip bench press, barbell incline shoulder raise.As for the food, well you should eat high-protein foods, and also high calorie foods. You can find many supplements online, of which ‘whey is pretty’ good, and as for the food = meat,eggs,fish etc…Do your own research of high protein and calorie foods and you will see what to concentrate on mostly. Also it is much better to spread your meals to 5-7 a day, then the usual big three, so eat smaller portions but allltogether eat more. And for the end a few tips: If you do full-body workouts, do tem 3-4 times a week, no more (so your muscles have time to recover), if you do different groups on different days even better. Also do not workout for over 45-60mins!!!! Make your workouts shorter but powerfull.So, eat good, train good, rest good and you should be on well on your way to gaining weight and mass. Lose Weight

So you are overweight and want to lose some weight? I will try to help you here. Well, first things first, if you are overweight, chances are you eat a bit moe then you should, so take care of that ( I will give a few pointers in a bit). Also chances are you do not do sports, excercises or anything of the sort. Well, you should do that! If you are a guy, you’re in luck, coz you can be doing 2 things at once – get bulky (I’m talking muscle bulky) and lose weight. How? With body-building. Yes, believe it or not, body-building can help you lose weight even more effectively then some other excercises that do not anything to do with body-building (by the way, if you are a girl and like body-building, that’s fine by me). In any case, see my post above this one, the “weight gain – mass gain”.Anyway, if you are not the body-building type, then there are other things you can do. One of the best ones is…..running! Yes, you probably heard that before, but it is true. Running (jogging), can be very effective, not just as a means to losing weight, but to get in better shape and get overall better physical health. I realize that if you over-weight the last thing you want to do is run, but, as they say, no pain – no gain! Also gang up your friends and do sports!! Play footbasll, basketball or whatever sport you like, ir simply jogg with a friend, it can be fun and it is very good. So, the point is = move-sweat-lose weight. I know it’s a hassle, but hey, if you keep sitting on your couch stuffing your face and cannot be bothered to move or do anything that requires some sot of exercise, then give up your hope of losing weight. On the other hand, if you willing to work (and work you must), then chances are you will be well on your way to losing weight.That’s it for the excercises, not to comprehensive, but I think useful and you get the big picture. Now on to eating. As I said in the beginning, if you are overweight, chances are you eat a bit too much. So, cut down your food and cut it down wisely. How do you do that ? Well, obviously, do not eat foods that contain a lot of fat. Also do not eat such as sweets and similar things. Try having a stronger breakfast, and then eat twice more throughout the day. Be sure that you eat only salads or something similar (fruit, vegetables) for dinner, nothing strong!!1 And for lunch mix something stronger and some salads (or fruits, vegetables).So, do not eat a lot, use these kind of foods mostly (lowfat, salads, vegetables, fruits…), eat light lunches and light light dinners, have proper workouts and excercises and you should be well on your way to losing that unwanted fat.
